Summer fun in Los Cabos, Mexico

I visited Los Cabos, Mexico, last summer with a group of girlfriends and we had a great time. The airport and hotel where we stayed, Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos, were in San Jose Del Cabo. Many of the famous tourist spots are located in Cabo San Lucas. The two cities are known together as Los Cabos and are connected by a highway known as the Tourist Corridor.

We enjoyed the pools at our hotel, but the beaches were not swimmable due to the big waves. Many beaches in Los Cabos are like that, but there are some calm ones. We did enjoy taking walks along the beach by our hotel.

My favorite thing we did was go on the Land’s End Luxury Sail and Snorkel with Cabo Sailing. The water was beautiful as we sailed out to our snorkeling spot at Pelican Rock.

We saw a group of sea lions on Pelican Rock and they were also in the water with us as we snorkeling and swam. It was a really cool experience that I haven’t had anywhere else.

After snorkeling, we had time to enjoy the gorgeous beach right there. I could have stayed all day. Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach are also popular spots nearby.

We got back onboard, had lunch and cruised along the coastline past El Arco. It was a very enjoyable morning on the water.

Another nice, calm beach to check out is Playa Palmilla. It is swimmable and clear. I could see fish without even putting on a mask or goggles. Definitely worth a visit.

For nightlife and amazing sunsets, head to Jazz on the Rocks. The views are breathtaking and reminded me of the Greek Islands.

And no trip to Cabo would be complete without a visit to Cabo Wabo, Sammy Hagar’s cantina that features live music daily.

A great restaurant to go to for Italian food is Salvatore G’s. Just get there early because they do run out of popular items.

Where are your favorite places to go in Cabo?
