Hiking Annie’s Canyon Trail

Annie's Canyon Trail

A fun and unique hike to take in the San Diego area is on Annie’s Canyon Trail in Solana Beach. Annie’s Canyon Trail is a 1.5-mile long loop with 200 feet of elevation gain.

The trail is located in the San Elijo Lagoon Ecological Reserve and features a super cool slot canyon.

Annie's Canyon Trail

The trail is easy overall with the challenging part coming as you near the slot canyon, which is very narrow in some places.

Do not take much with you and be prepared to get dirty from the sand. I was walking sideways to make my way through. It’s very fun though!

To make the final climb out of the canyon, you must go up a ladder.
