Snorkeling and sailing in Bonaire

I recently went on a nine-day cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Celebrity Cruises. One of our stops was Kralendijk, Bonaire. I loved how clear the water was there. You could see so many fish right from the pier!

I went on a sailing and snorkeling excursion on a Thai junk boat to Klein Bonaire, which means “Little Bonaire” and is just off the coast of Bonaire. Klein Bonaire is uninhabited and pristine.

There is a reef along Klein Bonaire that provides amazing snorkeling. You could either go straight to the beach or jump in and snorkel. I wanted to snorkel right away.

I saw some fish like these spotted ones that I have never seen anywhere before.

It was great because they let you out down from the beach and then you could drift toward the beach as you snorkeled along the reef.

I could have stayed there and snorkeled all day.

I made it down to the beach, which was beautiful. You felt like you were on a deserted island. I didn’t want to leave.

There were fish right off the beach area you could also snorkel and see.

I loved Bonaire. I’m going to have to go back there to snorkel more!
