Beach hopping in Aruba
I recently went on a nine-day Caribbean Cruise from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on Celebrity Cruises and one of our ports of call was Oranjestad, Aruba.
I went on a beach hopping excursion, and our first stop was Arashi Beach. To be honest, it wasn’t my favorite beach. There was supposed to be a snorkeling area, but the water was too cloudy and the water too rough to snorkel. There were also large rocks under the water that you would step on or run into without warning.
Unfortunately, it started pouring on us at Arashi Beach. Everyone was huddled under the huts as we waited for the rain to stop or our bus to pick us up. It was a pretty setting, but we didn’t have the best day for swimming or snorkeling.
There is a lot of cacti on Aruba. I snapped this photo right before it started raining again!
The sun came back out and we were able to make our second stop, Eagle Beach.
The beach was beautiful and, we were rewarded with a full rainbow!
Check out our other ports of call: Grand Cayman, Curacao and Bonaire.
