Visiting Seven Magic Mountains
Driving through the Nevada desert, you will suddenly see seven stacks of painted boulders, each standing more than 30 feet high. This is Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone’s Seven Magic Mountains.
Seven Magic Mountains opened in May 2016 and was originally scheduled to be there for two years. Due to its popularity, Seven Magic Mountains is still in its original location, which is off Interstate 15 about 20 miles south of the Las Vegas Strip.
Seven Magic Mountains is free to visit. I took this tour to visit early in the morning and our guide took lots of photos for us.
Morning is a good time to visit because you get great lighting on the boulders and it tends to be less crowded, so you get fewer people in your photos.
Seven Magic Mountains is a unique spot to visit on a trip to Vegas and a good way to get outside the city!
