Trading Post Trail at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre
Red Rocks Park
Before we left Colorado and headed back home to Texas, we had time for one last adventure. I wanted to check out Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and I was glad we were able to fit it in our schedule. Red Rocks is known for being an awesome concert venue, but it also offers some great hiking trails.
Amphitheatre
Before we hit the trail, we decided to check out the amphitheatre. Little did I know that just getting up there was going to be a workout in itself. There was a long ramp and lots and lots and lots of steps! Definitely wear comfortable shoes if you’re ever headed there for a show.
Trading Post Trail
After we made our way back down the stairs and ramp, we headed for Trading Post Trail. The trail is 1.5 miles with 357 feet of elevation gain. I didn’t want anything too strenuous with a long day of travel.
Here we go! As you can see, be prepared for uneven trails and well, rocks at Red Rocks.
Our hike offered some scenic views of pretty incredible rock formations. Red Rocks is definitely worth checking out if you are near Denver. I would love to go back sometime for a concert!
